Mrs. Juanita Rhodes Sowell, age 87, of the Springplace Community, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
A native of Marshall County she was the daughter of the late Asie Floyd Rhodes and Nana Tucker Rhodes. She was a homemaker and a member of the Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Sowell, a daughter, Rita Gayle Tallman, a son in law, Bobby Tallman, a grandaughter, Melissa Tallman and a grandson, Robert Carl Tallman.
Survivors include one son, Gary(Myra) Sowell of Nashville, two grand daughters, Tonya (Doug) Adams of Smyrna and Tina ( Jason) Baxter of Murfreesboro, one grandson, Michael Tallman of the Springplace Community , Three great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sowell will be conducted on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Short Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
