GARNO T. MOORE
Mr. Garno T. Moore, age 90 of 319 Coleman St.. Lewisburg, TN passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009 at NHC-Lewisburg. Mr. Moore was born in the Caney Springs Community of Marshall County. He was the son of the late John Andrew Moore and Ivy Lee Adgent Moore. He was married to Nancy R. Moore who died in 1991. He was a veteran of World War II, retired after 40+ years of service at Genesco and the City of Lewisburg Recreation Center. He was a member of Church Street Church of Christ in Lewisburg.
Six brothers, Riley, Archie, Gordon, Jessie, Luther and James Moore and one sister Mary Louise Moore preceded him in death.
Mr. Moore is survived by one son Ricky (Margie) Cherry of Lewisburg, one brother Bruce Moore and one sister Ernestine Richardson, both of the Caney Springs Community. Also surviving is one granddaughter Beth Cherry and two great-granddaughters of Lewisburg.
Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Allen Cemetery at Caney Springs. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
