Mrs. Genell R. Rutledge, age 83 of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Nashville, TN.
A native of Petersburg, TN she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Richardson and Dollie Lee Wells Richardson. She was a graduate of the Morgan School in Petersburg, and was retired as a medical office manager and a member of the Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rutledge is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jones F. Rutledge Jr. (1999), three sisters, one brother, and one niece, Mrs Brenda Young.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Rutledge (Clarence) Heard of Mt. Juliet, TN one son, Jones F. Rutledge III of Lewisburg, TN one grandson and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rutledge will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with with Harold Young and Brother James Hickey officiating, burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, May 16 from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
